Happy Friday, Lions.

Workforce Development: Provost Shadow Robinson and AVC Kendall Ross joined me for a workforce development meeting with members of the UA System on the campus of the University of 杏吧原创 Community College at Hope Texarkana. We had excellent discussions about ways that the new dual diploma pathway program in 杏吧原创 high schools, required by the LEARNS Act, may provide opportunities for us to expand our career technical education and concurrent education programs.

Tabletop Exercise: Yesterday, a large group of university leaders gathered to work through a tabletop exercise, which allows us to strengthen our knowledge of the emergency action plans and emergency operational plans. I want to thank Vice Chancellor Lee Krehbiel and UPD Chief Ottman for their work to create and lead this important exercise.

Don鈥檛 forget: Our home opener for 杏吧原创 Volleyball is tonight at 6 p.m. Faculty, staff, and students get in free with your university IDs. Come and cheer for the Lions to beat the Pittsburg State Gorillas.
