The Babb Center for Career Services serves as a resource for local, regional, and national organizations, assisting employers in all phases of the recruitment process of interns and full-time candidates. We can provide services such as on-campus interviews, job postings, networking events, career fairs, practice interviews, resume referrals, and information sessions.

Career Services encourages students to participate in internships and employers to use internships as a recruiting tool that can help their organization staff for short-term employment and special projects. Internships provide employers the opportunity to observe student performance and evaluate them as potential future employees. Internships can be paid or unpaid, full- or part-time, require no long-term contracts, and can be posted for students at any time. To host an intern or obtain more information about hosting an intern, contact Kayla McGrew in our office at 479-788-7017.

On-site interview facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be happy to coordinate all aspects of your on-campus interviews including marketing the job posting, collect resumes, reserving space and scheduling. To schedule an on-campus recruiting date, contact our office at 479-788-7017 or email careerservices@uafs.edu .

Employers are able to reserve a table to promote job opportunities in the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center in a prime location between the Food Court, Starbucks, and Bookstore. There are rules & regulations in order to reserve a table - please contact our office for more information and to reserve a time/date to join us on campus.

The Babb Center hosts several corporate mixer sessions during the fall and spring semesters. These are informal sessions in which the students can network with a particular employer. The recruiter has the opportunity to visit with students who are interested in their organization, provide information about employment opportunities, and get to know the students in a less formal setting. To sign up for an information session, contact our office at 479-788-7017 or email Susan Krafft.

The Babb Center hosts several recruitment and networking events during the fall and spring semesters. These include the Meet the Firms, All-Majors Career Fair, Health Sciences Job Fair, STEM Fair, and Grad School Expo. For information on these and other events, or to register for one of our events, see the online Calendar of Events or email careerservices@uafs.edu

The Babb Center gives students an opportunity several times throughout the year to have a practice or mock interview. Students can sign up to "interview" for a position with a human resources professional. At the end of the interview, the student receives valuable feedback concerning their interview skills, how they are dressed, and their resume so they can be better prepared for the real thing.

To participate in Practice Interviews, contact the our office at 479-788-7017 or email Susan Krafft
